PT NIA Completes Accommodation & Duct Cleaning for Vessel North Silver at PaxOcean Batam

Batam — PT Nusantara Indah Abadi completed a series of cleaning works on vessel North Silver during her docking at PaxOcean (PT GTI), Batam. The project ran in phases from late November 2025 to February 2026.

Phase 1: Full interior cleaning

PT NIA deployed an 8-person team—supervisor, foreman and cleaners—to clean the entire accommodation:

• 20 crew cabins and 18 crew toilets, plus the public and hospital toilets.
• Hospital / medical room, mess room, and the bridge with its toilet.
• Laundry, pantry and galley with full stainless steel interiors.
• Stainless steel chillers and freezers.
• All accommodation corridors.

Before mobilisation, the manpower list was submitted to the yard in line with shipyard safety procedures.

Phase 2: Additional jobs (December 2025)

The vessel then requested additional work: deep cleaning of stainless surfaces and storage racks in the galley chiller, plus re-cleaning of ceilings, walls, furniture, floors and toilets in several crew cabins and corridors. The work was reported by date and area and accepted by the vessel's Chief Officer.

Phase 3: Duct cleaning (February 2026)

The next phase covered duct cleaning across several decks:

• Bridge: 14 diffusers with diffuser boxes and return.
• Officer deck: cabin diffusers and corridor returns.
• Rating deck & AHU room: cabin diffusers, return and spiral duct cleaning.
• Main deck: diffusers and returns in the galley and mess room.

The work done report was inspected and signed by the vessel as proof of completion.
